The F-Word

“I don’t know what my problem is. Everything’s…fine,” my client said to me.

If you’re a client and you’re reading this, you may think I am sharing your story, but the truth is that I have lost count how many times someone has said this exact phrase in a session.

All of your basic needs are met – you have a roof over your head, food on the table, and people to share it with.

You’re employed with a decent title and salary.

You’re healthy.

People on the outside looking in think you’ve got it made, and they tell you so, which leaves you feeling guilty.

And yet…fine feels like…well, an f-word.

It’s not just you.

In positive psychology terms, fine is “normal.”

Traditional psychology has operated from a deficit model – let’s fix what’s “wrong” to bring you back to “normal.”

And normal is a fine place to be – most people are there, and those who aren’t strive for it.

But you want more than baseline because you know there’s a level beyond fine. You want to FLOURISH.

How do you begin?

Join me for Elevate Your Existence, a 90-day course that will leave you feeling better than fine. Weekly video lessons will drop on Sundays, starting on December 31. You will have a digital workbook with activities, tools, and resources that span the 8 pillars of wellness.

Feel better than baseline.

We start December 31!
